My weim and rat terrier

When I was looking for insurance for my dogs, I could not find a pet insurance comparison for the life of me! I found comparisons on the pet insurance company websites, but they were only comparing their own plans.

So, what I did was spend hours and hours looking through the three most popular companies, learning as much as I could. Eventually, what I did was create a chart that compared the best features of each pet insurance plan. You can find that pet insurance comparison here. Sorry it might be a little hard to read, but I think you’ll get the hang of it. This chart helped me decide what the best insurance was for my two dogs, pictured above.

It’s important to know that when you’re looking at some kind of pet insurance comparison, that you won’t find a single plan that fits you perfectly. This is almost like our own healthcare plans that cover us, but usually end up falling short somewhere.

This is why I suggest going with coverage that lets you customize the plans to fit your needs. This is also why I decided to go with Embrace Pet Insurance. They let me customize my plan to fit my two dogs, as my weim is 8 years old, while my rat terrier is 3.

My second choice would have been because their prices were reasonable, and their coverage would have covered just about everything I would have needed for my two dogs. However, I went with Embrace because of three reasons:

1. I could customize my coverage.
2. They have fantastic customer service ratings.
3. They donate money to a pet charity each time a plan is purchased.

Anyway, that’s why I chose the company I did. You may have other criteria or other needs for your pets. I have found though that the pet insurance companies really do care, which was a nice suprise given some of our own insurance!
